4th bullet (pun) - retro-guy should know how to stop an attack on his person or property, part of dealing with stuff. Having the goal as "properly killing" will lead to much entanglement with the legal system (never a good thing). Hunting's a whole other thing, deer don't have lawyers, yet.

I'm fall very much into the retro-guy class. Although if a woman insists on paying for a meal, I'll deal with that too. This retro-guy knows that everyones feels the need to "deal with stuff" sometimes and is wise enough to get out of the way.
