If I leave my 'free-speech' protest crosses on public property someone is FULLY entitled to come along and destroy them. That is the other side of free speech you know.

Obviuosly the proper thing to do would have been to pull them up carefully, but he was fully entitled to pull up, destroy or paint on them.
