I find that there are two types of MS user, by fudje 2005-08-16 10:18:47
The majority, the ones that use Microsoft products because that's what they've got, and they couldn't be bothered putting the effort in to do something about it. They really don't care what they're using. A few of these are aware that many of the products they use are flawed, but will just live with it. Even fewer will acknowledge these flaws and try to do something about them. These are the end users that are the victims of marketing campaigns targeted at whomever sold them their computers.
Same goes for a minority of Macintosh users.

Then there's the others, who will go out of their way to try and make people who aren't using Microsoft products feel inferior (largely without success, due to the fact that most people who don't use them made a choice not to and fell happy about it), and may go as far as claiming that any given flaw in the products they use are a hoax or insignificant or just don't happen to them.
Mostly the same goes for a majority of Macintosh users.

Pretty much every user of every other system on the planet, however, is doing so by choice, or because their employer requires them to - in which case it's their system administrators' choice. Yes, that apostrophe is in the right place. Someone along the line of people involved in their system will take note of flaws in their system and do something about it. They'll take justified criticism (which is in a minority of criticism they receive, I'll point out. Most of it comes from MS zealots and goes basically like "Linux 15 +3h 5|_|><0|'. j00 4|'3 +3h 5|_|><0|'. h3h."), and ignore unjustified criticism.

There are a very few zealots that use the same products as that last group. Unfortunately, a lot of them can be said to be representative of us, as they are people of the ilk of Richard Stallman.
