        The first program I ever wrote was on a ][gs by merlin 2005-08-16 07:23:06
using AppleBasic.

All it did was make a colored bar bounce from the left edge of the screen to a random length towards the right. Oh, and it color-cycled as well.

As I recall, it only took something like 15 or 20 lines of code, if that much, to set it up.

I tried recreating it in QBasic and Basic on a Windows box, and after over 100 lines of code it still wasn't working.

That's when I really understood that Apple/Macs were so much better at graphical stuff.
