I read in Nature that caffeine is a pesticide by dcflick 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Nature June 27, 2002 I don't think un-used coffee would be good as the study shows it is an efective repellant to slugs and snails, perhaps it would be bad for worms then as well. Grindings would be good as they would have very low amounts of caffeine. I saw somewhere that it is also effective on aphids in the rose garden. To bad I am a geek and dont actually have a rose garden.
