actors and memorizing lines by dennismv 2005-08-14 17:04:38
do most actors memorize their lines ? Do they memorize only their lines on the entire script ?

I have a feeling that they do and I find it pretty fascinating. I'd feel though that it can be difficult and tedious.
To me a person who can memorize an entire script is almost like a person who can do double back flip off a stair flight. I mean it's a wicked and an unusual skill.

I'm wondering, if actors actually memorize the entire scripts, is it difficult ? And if you memorize scripts, does it help your memory in general ?
