Mainboard/cpu/memory/video card only, all the drives and any other expansion cards disconnected (power and data) or removed - that will tell you if it's one of the core components or not. If it boots, start putting things back in 'til it doesn't, and that should tell you what went wonky. If it doesn't, check the power supply first - most problems I've seen with boxes not booting have been something with the power supply - it takes the largest share of abuse.
