That's a myth.

I have never heard of anyone being killed by a cyclist while driving any size car. The only way I could see that is the driver of said car swerved to avoid the cyclist and hit something.

Think of it this way. A 3200lb Honda in a rollover versus a 5800lb SUV in a rollover. 3000 less pounds acting on our bodies is alot less force. Plus torsion will be much higher in the SUV and momentum will be MUCH higher than in a smaller car, plus you can stop a smaller car faster (MUCH) and it's more maneuverable than ANY SUV.

Bigger is NOT better. Driving SMARTER rules all.
