"what country will be insane enough" - They're ALREADY insane. That's why they have huge armies, and ours is the largest (dollar-wise, by a factor of seven over the next-largest, iirc).

You mean, when will they get SANE ENOUGH to hand it over and quit with the nationalistic BS that is keeping us from reaching our potential as a species? Rabid Nationalism is a mental disease.

Disagree with this: If the over-$400 billion spent on the military was instead put into research of a peaceful nature such as energy independence and finding cures for intractable diseases, we would be MUCH further along with solving those problems.

"Building military hardware creates JOBS! It's good for the economy!" Bunkum. RESEARCH creates MORE jobs and doesn't lead to some nutball in a uniform looking for a place to use his latest 'toy.'
