All you need is a basic set of instructions and the documentation that comes with all the components. Oh yeah, it also helps to have a power cable. And maybe an operating system. Don't forget a NIC if you want Internet access or networking. If you're getting a sound card you'll want speakers. And a monitor if you're getting a video card. Keyboard and mouse are helpful too. But seriously, if you just need cheap shelving, buy yourself some cinder blocks and shelf-sized pieces of wood (or anything else that'll work as a shelf). That's what my mother used for shelves when she was in college and medical school.
