impose sanctions on the U.S. if they do not abide by the U.N. guidelines. Again, you leave out information that does not suppport your argument but is pertinant to the discussion. There are also the standard extradition treatys that they U.S. has with most countries for crimes that have nothing to do with the U.N. and abide by the agreed upon laws in both countries.

Again, go read the U.N. charter and you will see what their membership requirements are. To do what they were formed to do they have to be able to accept almost anyone.

I am not saying that Guantanimo bay is good but, if the U.N. passed a resolution to sanction the U.S. for it they could, the only thing stopping them is themselves. All they have to do is propose it and get it passed by the majority of members as defined in their charter.
