I will ask the list moderator/owner, and by wwill 2005-08-09 16:36:33
see next post in re the questions of "Classic Jon". I'm still trying to figure out what the question is in there, but I'll find it I'm sure.

I just run the servers and occasionally post, but as a normal user. Ask one of your learned right-wing proponents if some time during this winter she or he would like to join a small and invitation-only list for this purpose.

Or yourself, if you think you can hold your own. We're on a summer break, the list moderator is off on a back-to-the-land project, he's building himself a home on a few acres in the middle of nowhere, and is currently either hand-milling doors and windows, or working on getting a heating system (wood, passive solar) together to make iot through the winter. He will be available some time in the not-too-far-flung future for asking this question. I cannot add members on my own say-so, it is a consensus of the group with veto power of the moderator, one "Harlan."

Pick someone you think has a good grasp of curernt events and the recent history that has led to the current debacle, be it another one of your ARF list people, or yourself.

I have no doubt that Harlan will agree to the new member. He has never yet objected.

Requirements for list membership are simple: NO personal attacks. No "faith-based" opinions that cannot be proven to at least some reasonable degree. If you state an opinion, say that it is an opinion, or else provide some corroboration. Did I say NO personal attacks? You lose credibility for profanity, as well. We know we disagree on some pretty fundamental levels, but that does NOT make the opponent less of a human being and requiring respect of their person.

Public and political figures, however, are fair game, and you can call the Shrub an idiot if you like, likewise Kerry, Durbin, Kennedy, Rove, or anyone else in the public eye, if that is your opinion.

Retreat (in the form of unsubscribing) must be done by a public request to the group for removal from the list. Removal requests will be honoured immediately that they are tendered. (Any delays in unsubscribing will be simply due to me or Harlan being unavailable at the moment it is sent to accomplish the deletion.)

Topics, pretty much WHATEVER you want in the way of current events, with especial attention to the U.S. and world economy, the Iraq Quagmire, Israel and Palestine, and so forth.
