the US is the only country that never recognized the ICC. The US is working very hard to ensure that the UN cannot invoke sanctions against US citizens, no matter what they do. And as for UN sanctions against the US - who has the army to retaliate against any country that tries to invoke sanctions? Get real. There is a definite, consistent thread here that says 'might makes right'. Where have I heard that before?
How about countries in Europe that have a higher population density than the US? Lower crime rates. How about countries like India and China that have higher population totals than the US? Lower crime rates. How about countries that believe in pro-active crime prevention? Lower crime rates. Saying 'the crime rate only appears to be higher because we are concerned about it' is using the old schtick about statistics being lies as an excuse not to look at facts. |
