... entirely hand-drawn since the early '60's. 101 Dalmations first introduced Xerography to minimize the amount of hand-drawn "tweening", and technology has been taking over ever since then. Alladin was the first Disney feature to include an entirely CGI character (the Magic Carpet), while Beauty and the Beast used 3-D CGI backgrounds to allow for "camera" moves that could have never been done before in animation.
Before CGI, Disney could produce at most one feature each year. Now they are capable of three or four if you include Pixar(whether they have enough decent stories is another question).
I think there will always be a market for traditional-look animation, but the whole industry will soon be CGI.
