Update: Dell has offered to full refund me by theschles 2005-08-09 11:35:24
Hi all. I just got a call from a Dell customer manager stating that he will be refunding me for my full original purchase and they will also foot the bill for shipping back the bad laptop.

So now I'm off to figure out how to get a Windows key on an IBM laptop (I use Windows-E and Windows-R too much), with the backup plan being investigating HP & Toshiba, as the Alienware laptops have only 12.1" LCD's on their Pentium M laptops (I've been spoiled with 15.4").

Thanks again to all for your advice.
