you are espousing isolationism with your statements taken as a whole. If you are not please clarify.

If you are, you have to realize that the world is not (to borrow a cliche' phrase) as small a place as it once was. Every countries economies are linked to other countries economies and the world suffers when there is instability. Now, not all countries are as affected greatly by this but it has a trickle down effect depending upon your countries modernization and that countries dependance upon outside food resources. Before any conclusions are jumped to by anyone, I most definitely do not espouse random invasion of countries as a solve all solution.

In short:
It is in the worlds best intrest for the U.N. to do the job they were formed to do...which, without going into detail, they have not been doing in the last 20 years. If they had been, I think the world would be a much better and more peaceful place.
