Agreed - and in the state of Illinois, by ChuckAB 2005-08-09 09:41:23
it is illegal to stay in the left lane. If it is possible to safely move to the right lane, then you do so.

It has been my experience that the people that tend to drive the fastest are also the most agressive - and will react so to those who get in their way - even if the slower driver is "right". They don't care. The slower driver is in their way.

Are they wrong? Of course. Is it YOUR duty to correct them? No. You get out of their way and let them be wrong down the road. It will eventually catch up with them - either with flashing lights behind them on top of a police car, or with flashing lights above them on top of an ambulance.

There have been several times that someone has blasted past me on the highway only for me to drive past them a few miles down the road where they've been pulled over by a police car. I have a good laugh.
