jerkwad pass - you pull to the right-most lane and them them pass while you are STILL MOVING (hopefully fast enough not to cause a hazard yourself). Stopping on the highway causes a hazard. The point here is to minimize any hazard you can. The safest course of action is to move to the slowest lane (usually the right) and let the idiots be idiots in front of you where it's easier to avoid. And since they're moving faster than you, it won't take long for them to get a significant distance in front of you.
