A typical two-bedroom, two-floor, 60 year old house in decent condition in my neighborhood starts at maybe $250,000 and can run up to $400,000. If it's new construction, or a three or four bedroom house, more like $400,000 to $700,000.

Needless to say, my fiancee and I are moving to a less expensive area.
