I assume you mean under windows for the client computer that the EXE is functional when its local. Does it have any associated files? dll's? it could be that the exe doesnt understand unc paths, and as a result, cant be run over the network, because it cant access its supporting files, which it expects to be sitting next to it on the same path. you could try mounting the share to a drive letter, and seeing if it works then
