That I must have accidentally hit the insert key. As it stands, I didn't, and after formatting, re-formatting, re-re-formatting, re-re-re-formatting (you get the idea) a bunch of non-text strangeness in word, I didn't know if I had perhaps clicked something in one of the option boxes for images/headers/footers/tables/you-name-it to make it behave like that. After getting all that garbage looking good, I wasn't going to go back and try to figure it all out when I could ask a question pretty easily here. I'm glad it was a simple answer, if someone chooses to get some sort of satisfaction or feeling of superiority from that, fine. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
