To open the door from the inside requires the lock to be unlocked (isn't this the case in modern cars?) - and for this lock, it's a delicate balance between something thin enough to get through the gap and strong enough to press the knob in... Last time I used a random piece of wire, much tougher than a hanger, provided by some amused builders on the other side of the road :D
It's 1am now, though, and already made arrangements with my mom, so I'm just gonna go sleep and deal with it all in the morning. I'll see how I go with coming up with wedges next time I do this ;) Thanks! |
