Remote Controllable Alarm Clocks by abaron 2005-08-09 06:58:09
See, I have this problem... I seem to forget to turn off my alarm clock when I leave for the weekend, this leads to grumpy neighbours (Hey, I need the alarm clock to get progressivly louder!).

Now what I've been thinking is, I need an alarm clock that gives me the option to turn off, or maybe just change, the alarm. But I need to be able to access that function remotely, via something like SSH through my linux box (though I suppose it could work of a serial cable I'd like to eventually seperate the computer from my room).

Anyone seen something like this?

A couple of notes:
One thing I don't want is pc software for my computer, I'm not always in the same OS, and I prefer to SSH in then having to set up remote desktop. My main desktop may not be on all the time either.
I have my cell phone, it works well, but I need multiple alarms. I also don't want just a standalone alarm that I take with me; I forget to turn off my alarm I'd probably forget the alarm clock.
