bypassing voicemail signal -- dial-up, linux by swisscheese 2005-08-05 17:48:35
I suspect that this question has been asked here before,
but I'm not having any luck with man pages or HOWTOs or google.

I finally broke down and got my telco's (Telus) voicemail.
I know there's some way to get past the series of dial-tone beeps that the telco uses to signal that there are messages waiting -- or at least not deleted yet.

I assume that that a simple solution exists. Perhaps a trivial addition to the modem init string (easily accesible through pppconfig) does the trick. Can anybody fill me in?
