Courts should not be partisan. Either the judges should be moderate as individuals, or the party mix should be balanced so as to make the court, as a whole, moderate. Not sure which would be the best case, but I do believe that having a partisan court is a bad idea. I believe the same about government as well. I think I like it best when the majority party in congress is opposed to the party of the president. They can hold each other in check and not go hog wild with partisan agendas.
