Can anybody recommend a good laptop manufacturer by theschles2005-08-04 15:50:55
hp, IBM or Toshiba by jmaxsohmer 2005-08-04 16:01:09
I've only used the corporate-grade hps, so I don't know what kind of performance you'll get out of home models.

I've seen the quality of Toshibas; they're great, but expensive. And I've heard good things about the ThinkPads as well.

I've never used an Alienware, so I can't say either way. However, if you've got a (VERY) thick wallet, voodoopc.com has some gorgeous laptops - for the bargain price of twelve thousand dollars you can get a notebook that'll outpace most custom-built desktops.
