The way the study needs to be run is to have strict controls. Now if you have a pool of 36 men who have had the procedure done, and 18 are in committed relationships and 18 are not (just to keep things simple) you have skewed data pure and simple. I am not saying that it is possible that circumcision will help protect you from HIV, just that this kind of study cannot be trusted.
