mostly successful, attempt to suppress information about these practices. It means that the people doing it, and the ones condoning it KNOW it is wrong and unacceptable. And yet they still do it. It also means that we cannot be sure we know about all of the incidents. It actually guarantees that we DON'T know about most of them:-(
