I think the rhetorical question of pharmaceutical companies is easy enough to answer, and even the succeeding question: yes, but to a lesser extent than if they were experimenting upon people, and no, because their willingness could be the result of deception, desperation, or impairment of judgment.
As for the opinions of the people who did those things, this proves not that good and evil are relative, just the opposite: good and evil are objective things. Opinion is the thing that is relative. It either conforms to the truth, or it does not.
I guess I'll go looking for another totalitarian regime that committed well-known atrocities, until some smart apple publishes his own frequency law on -that-...
