There's a whole lot of things I have to say about this article. First, the shooting appears justified. However, he did himself no favors in leaving the scene.

The main issue is his overall behavior. It looks like this guy was still in urban combat mode. IMO the military needs to bring soldiers back from the battlefield some time before they seperate and put them through a transition program before they are returned to "normal" life. Some will argue this is the job of the underfunded VA, but I disagree. This should be handled by the active services as much as possible. Only chronic cases should be turned over to VA. This will reduce the load on the VA, and get these kids the treatment they really need.
