Further details on the torture/killing by US ... by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59
  I can't say I approve... by iHal 2005-08-04 10:00:50
... of the war or what is happening over there. The war was based on faulty info and should have been reconsidered when that news was brought to light. It isn't a good thing, but it is war and even people with the best of intentions kill and do things they regret when in war. My grandfather fought in the Vietnam and Korean wars. He won't talk about it and I know he regrets the things he had to do there. War has always been thus. Don't think badly of all soldiers. There are some who abuse their power out of anger or fear or their own twisted sense of justice. But there are some soldiers who respect life and grieve when they have to kill to protect innocent lives. There are soldiers with honor, who fight because they feel it is their duty and act justly.

Again, I am not justifying what has been done and what will happen again as long as man thinks for himself, but don't judge all by the actions of a few.
