Because, in fact, the assertion that the truth of good and evil is subjective, is based in the notion that the truth of everything is relative: we cannot know anything beyond our own subjective experience of reality.
However... if there is, in fact, a universal truth about anything, even a universal law of physics such as F = ma, then relativism collapses: for every sentient being in the universe, F = ma. The door is thereby open for the search for an infinity of other universal truths.
Or, if you will, an infinity of other aspects of the universal Truth, of which F = ma is one small aspect.
