There's a certain amount of generalisation we all make about our own personal morals. Whether or not you're a moral relativist it doesn't matter, in order to function in society you will at some point say to yourself "this isn't just a good idea for me." General moral consensus is like a strange attractor, it's made up of a million-million data-points there's no defined 'edge' of moral acceptability but if you take two things that obviously contrast they always will. murder of innocents for no reason being one.

And welcome to existentialism. IT's depressing isn't it.
