Maybe I'm thinking of the under-revision stuff, krikkert?

*larts self*

Essentially, when calculating where to "cut" a post for "view all expanded" or "view TLP expanded", ARS pays attention to the number of characters in the post. So when you want to create spoiler space so that people using those views won't accidentally see your spoiling, just putting in a couple strings of ..... or something similar will do the job. I'm afraid I don't know exactly what the cut off point it. But after that point, users have to click "...cont'd" in order to see what you've said - hereby protecting them from seeing the spoiler content.

Clear as mud? Sorry but the sudafed I just took seems to be affecting my thinking :\
