I spent the summer of 1984 working in a Baskin-Robbins in Northern Virginia while my parents were on vacation in Europe. One day a coworker says to me "hey, my parents met your parents in Germany". "Really?" I said. "I didn't know our parents knew each other." "They didn't," he said. "They just happened to meet each other while waiting in line somewhere. They got to talking and found out that they both have sons working at the same place back home." Small world.
