When I last upgraded I added a TV capture card to my old PC and hooked it up to my entertainment center. So I don't hear or see what the computer is doing unless I put the reciever on video2. The fonts are a bit fuzzy to read as I don't have a high-definition TV but what I record or download onto that PC looks just fine.

Of course if you don't have an old PC around with 700+ MHz then this suggestion doesn't help you much.
