And in very similar circumstances. And generally, suicidal people are mentally ill. I really feel bad for the guy, his family, AND the cops who did this. They had to make a decision and unfortunately they chose the wrong one. But I bet if you were in the same position with the same circumstances and the same orders and the same training you would have made the same choice. I know I would have.

As well, even if he was not suicidal and/or mentally ill, he did a very stupid thing. And really the fact that he grew up in rough Brazil is not a good enough reason. He'd been in England for 3 years...plenty long enough for him to get used the the fact that things don't work that way.

In the end, blame the terrorists, not the cops. The terrorists are the ones who are hellbent on creating this climate of fear.
