not illegal? If it was a conflict of interest then I would see a hand slap but removed from office, I find that hard to swallow. But not knowing Canadian law it is possible.

Out of curiosity where has Jeb monetarily profited from this? Seriously, I want to see where he has made money for himself or his party. If that is the case then I would give that part of your argument more creedence.

I did not see where the "shopping of prosecutors" was implied in the article. Normally there is the District attourney, and the Prosecuting attourney and they are the ones who decide what cases merit investigation and which ones don't. No matter where he goes to "shop", as it were, he will end up back at the same people to decide to continue the investigation.

I agree that trying to save Terry was a futile attempt, however good intentioned it might have been. The article never stated that they were opening a full investigation, it stated that they were doing a "probe." This normally means a preliminary investigation to see if the case warrents further investigation. It is purely fact finding. If they make it into the witch hunt the you belive it is by pushing it to a real court case when there is not one then you would be totally correct. At that point I would totally agree with you, until then I will withold judgement to see how things evolve.
