"The Washington Post and Maclean's write about Alberta's oil sands, whose reserves are at about 180 billion barrels of oil, 2nd only to Saudi Arabia.

While it costs roughly $18 to extract a barrel, which is much higher than Saudi oil, I'd love to see a cost per barrel estimate for Saudi oil if one factors in things like, say, 2 wars with Iraq and all the footsy that the US administration has to play with the Sauds."
