of the governor of the time to make sure that something like that was investigated in a reasonable time period? I am sure that some politics are involved but what about the legal aspect of it? Any criminal investigator will tell you that there has to be probable cause to investigate something. The autopsy seems to have brought new information to light and that meant that a preliminary investigation needed to happen. What is so different between this and an unsolved murder case that is 15 years old that new information has come to light that someone wants to investigate more?

I guess my point comes down to this:

1)Why was this not investigated a LONG time ago befor Jeb became the governor?

2)Why is he being pointed at for doing something wrong that *should* have been done 15 years ago?

3)It is sad that it was not investigated then but how is that Jeb's responsibility that it wasn't done in a timely manner?

In my opinion the Investigative officer, the 911 supervisor and the governor at that time should have *done their job* and investigated this a long time ago. If they had then none of this investigation after the fact would be an issue.
