The argument is over whether or not it will happen. This will be from different subnets and should route at L3 the whole time.

Some people on this project, however, feel that given the opportunity to switch, thats what the switches will do. Rather than go to the core (Packet comes into distribution switch, goes to core, goes to next distribution switch, goes to access layer switch to host) what will happen is it enters the distribution switch, switches at layer 2 through five or six or seven other distribution switches, then goes to the access layer switch and the host.

We're going to test it as soon as we have made all the configuration changes, I am just hoping to know if I'm right or not before we start.
