Digital cameras (from yesterday) by purplepineapple2006-11-19 12:55:59
My take on your choices by hieraco2005-06-17 05:29:50
I've got a few more picked out, heh by purplepineapple 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Clicky for all 6, including the first 2 I linked to.

Yes, I read up about most of the features, and also like the metering options, on the S5i and the other Pentax models. I'm partial to Pentax, too, because my dad has been using his since the 70s :D Ok so I'm almost comparing apples to oranges, but still...

I do far prefer going with the SD card cameras. Much prefer using something which has been around long enough for most people to know of it ;) The two Casios in the new link use SD.

As far as the battery discussions go in the other subthreads, I also lean towards the slightly bigger cameras which take AAs - so you can interchange easily. Although I understand you can buy a second lithium battery to keep charged as a spare...but then you still run the risk of suddenly hitting empty and not being able to just pop in some AAs from the local store. :\ I think I could go either way on this one. But the AAs do make the Casios look even more attractive :)

AND the 6Mpixel Casio comes with a free 256 card and a camera case...according to the duty free website ;) I priced the 256mb cards at up to AU$100.
