This is undeniable proof that whoever is in posession R2-D2 is victorious, and whoever is against those who are in posession of him fail miserably.

Ep. 1: #1 - All the other starships trying to leave Naboo were shot down by the trade federation blockade. The Royal Cruiser, however, was successful, because R2-D2 was there.

#2 - Annakin has never as much as finished a pod race in his life. However, now that Annakin has R2-D2 with him, helping him fine tune his pod racer, Annakin won the race, even taking out Sebulba, his rival, while R2-D2 is watching him.

#3 - Annakin has never flown a fighter ship before, however he is able to fly into the Trade Federation droid control ship and destroy it with R2-D2 along for the ride.

#4 - Qui-Gon Jinn is killed by Darth Maul after having left R2-D2 with Annakin.

Ep. 2:

#5 - Obi-Wan is captured by the Sith. He does not have R2-D2 with him.

#5 - Annakin and Padme are captured by the droid army after having left R2-D2 in their ship.

#6 - A handful of Jedi are led, presumably by R2-D2, to where the trade federation plans to execute Annakin, Padme, and Obi-Wan. R2-D2 is also in the middle of the action, and as such the Jedi are victorious in holding out against the droid army until Yoda arrives with the clone troops.

#7 - Obi-Wan and Annakin confront Count Dooku without R2-D2. They both lose and Annakin gets an arm chopped off.

Ep. 3:

#8 - Annakin performs some truly incredible flight acrobatics with R2-D2 as his flight droid while Obi-Wan gets his butt kicked.

#9 - Annakin finally defeats count Dooku, but, having left R2-D2 in the hangar, begins his trip down the dark side as he kills Dooku in cold blood.

#10 - Annakin and Obi-Wan are captured by the droids of the Trade Federation, and only manage to free themselves once R2-D2 has been reunited with them.

#11 - Every time Annakin takes a step towards the dark side, R2-D2 is not with him.

#12 - Mace Windu's three other Jedis (who do not have R2-D2 with them) are defeated by Palpatine. Annakin, without R2-D2, takes the final step down the dark side by helping kill Mace Windu and becoming Palpatine's apprentice. R2-D2 is not present, as he is currently in Padme's posession..

#13 - The hundreds of Jedi in the Jedi Temple are all killed by clone troopers when R2-D2 isn't there, yet only a dozen of them and R2-D2 managed to hold off the entire droid army in Ep. 2.

#14 - Obi-Wan defeats Vader after Vader had left R2-D2 with Padme and Obi-Wan takes posession of him.

#15 - Padme dies. R2-D2 is not present or in Padme's ownership.

Ep. 4:

#16 - Princess Leia is captured after having sent R2-D2 off in an escape pod.

#17 - The Jawas who captured R2-D2 are massacred after having sold R2-D2 to Owen Skywalker.

#18 - Obi-Wan is recalled to duty and gives Luke his father's lightsaber because of R2-D2's message.

#19 - Owen and Beru are killed R2-D2 had run off to see Obi-Wan.

#20 - The crew of the Millenium Falcon manages to rescue Leia and escape from the Death Star with R2-D2.

#21 - Obi-Wan is killed by Vader as R2-D2 is retreating into the Millenium Falcon.

#22 - R2-D2 conveys the plans necessary to destroy the Death Star to the Rebel Alliance.

#23 - Though we have seen how Vader/Annakin can be an amazing pilot (with R2-D2's help) in previous episodes, relative rookie Luke manages to run down the Death Star trench, not get blown up by Vader, and destroy the Death Star. The Force? No. R2-D2.

Ep. 5:

Exception! - The rebel base on Hoth is destroyed by the Empire, even though R2-D2 is there.

#24 - Luke's X-Wing sinks into the swamps of Dagobah only after R2-D2 has left it.

#25 - Luke's friends get captured in Cloud City while R2-D2 is with Luke on Dagobah.

#26 - Luke confronts and is defeated by Vader after Luke had left R2-D2 with his friends.

#27 - Leia feels Luke calling out to her and turns the ship around to save Luke with R2-D2.

Ep. 6:

Exception! - Jabba the Hutt, who is in posession of R2-D2, is killed by Leia. This is not exactly an exception, though, because...

#28 - R2-D2 was secretly on a mission for Luke when this happens.

#29 - Luke completes his Jedi training with R2-D2.

#30 - The Ewoks of the forest moon of Endor fight off the Empire's assault and Han and Leia shut down the Death Star's shield generator with R2-D2 on the surface with them.

#31 - Without R2-D2, the battle between Vader and Luke falls into a stalemate, only broken when Vader kills Palpatine.
