why on Earth did you think you should do it again for "good measure?" Flash RAM / EEPROM chips only have so many erase & write cycles before they die. Flashing twice just wastes your time, and an erase/write cycle on the chip. I believe you are stuck with the RMA or get a new card option (unless you can piggyback a good ROM on to your card). Check with your card manufacturer's tech support and/or web site. You can bet you are not the only person who has had an update go wrong.
