The guy who owned the Chevelle before me by thread_killer 2005-06-17 02:58:12
Put round port headers on square port exhaust manifolds. That would explain why my gaskets were cracked. The wife says to me upon discovering this last night "Um...so I guess you want new headers for your birthday right??" Geez.

Also, the number one valve was tightened down so much that it didn't even open, the number seven valve was so loose it was almost falling off. Fixing those and new gaskets and now the car is running much better. I'm still going to have to put new headers on it though before the gaskets break again. Also, the bell housing cover is completely missing off of the stall converter. That's going to need to be fixed quick. One little rock through that converter and my transmission is going to burn up. Yikes.
