Yeah, that was pretty much my whole point, no surety as to *exactly* how much disapprobation Newsweek deserves, but leaning towards thinking it's less than some folks are making out(down to none if the stories do wind up being true). I think the "blood on their hands" rhetoric(I don't think you were guilty of this) is wrong and self-serving. If we're trying to parcel out blame, I'd also like to know who broke the story to Newsweek, and who in the Pentagon vetted the story-Newsweek sent it to 2 Pentagon officials pre-publication, neither of whom challenged the toilet statement.
