I think my dad still has the shotgun barrel that split when he fired a round at a deer after the previous round plugged the barrel because of a defective shell. The result looks a lot like cartoons lead you to expect. Just one more example of how recoil and muzzle blast is just about non-existant when hunting as opposed to target shooting...
