My first contention is that Tban has not generally used mob violence as a tactic. The primary reason is that they are unable to take credit for the action. My second contention is that anyone who is causing trouble for the provincial governor, central government, or anyone who wants to get US help claims that violence directed against them is the result of Taliban. In fact, it is often the actions of individuals or groups (tribal or family) that have a grudge against the official. That is the case of in the “incidents” that took place in the towns in the title bar back in 2002.

I truly believe that these riots are the result of outraged populations. Now who is going to benefit from this is the Taliban or any anti-US group.
