Not saying that it was definitely not Taliban, though the last time I was in Jbad and Kabul protests had a way of getting out of hand, just saying it is not there style to use protest type events. Their general MO is to us direct attack or IED rather than protests. Perhaps I should not have deleted that entire section on Taliban tactics and techniques after all. ;) Please keep in mind that anyone who defies the Karzi government is quickly branded as Taliban. This includes local strongmen who do not want to pay taxes to Kabul, are hesitant to disarm, or who end up on the wrong side of a feud.
