What happened that led to all of this? What amazing happening?

Today, I go out at lunch, and some friends of mine tell me that there's a rumor going around that involves (the lie of) me having gone out with one of the most popular girls in the school, a few months ago.
*Jaw Drops* (Coincedentally a short while later the PS3 comes out)
Of course, I'm not interested in her at all, or will ever be for she badmouths me occasionally. But I'm now considered a player.
Then, after school today, a friend of mine is going to talk with the girl I like to see if she's interested in me at all.
Funny thing is, we got out awhile ago. And again, (coincedence) around the same time the Fate of the Liberals got another thread to hang on with Belina Stronach joining.
